A good room starts with respect.

Meet with care

Attend as a single adult interested in meeting people. Be honest about yourself and your intentions. Respect names, pronouns, boundaries and a no. Harassment, discrimination, unwanted touching and pressure to exchange contact details are not welcome.

Play at your comfort level

Follow venue instructions and host briefings. You can sit out, choose an easier option or leave at any time. Activity verification is not a medical assessment, identity check or guarantee of another person's behaviour.

Keep interest private

You never owe someone a date or an explanation. After an event, a host can help arrange an introduction only if both people agree. Do not pursue someone who has declined or share their personal information.

Photos are optional

Ask before photographing anyone. Event attendance does not imply photo or marketing consent. Hosts must provide a way to participate without being photographed.

Tell a host

If something makes you uncomfortable at an event, speak to the host. You can also report a concern afterwards to hello@firstmoveclub.com. Hosts review reports discreetly and may remove participants or decline future attendance. This inbox is not an emergency service; for immediate danger call local emergency services.
